2023 Space Melter 165
Fun / Buttery / Futuristic
Our mission to continually push the envelope of wakeboard design in partnership with the Space Mob has led us to Space Melter, a shape we believe will become a staple of the park line-up for years to come. If you haven't got on one yet, put the Melter on the top of your list this summer and re-invent your riding style completely!
Why We Made It
As part of our continued mission to leave no board shape unexplored, the Space Melter is an 11/10 when it comes to rider stoke levels. We built it to make wakeboarding feel like snowboarding, but warmer... and wetter.
Why You'll Love It
- Quinn Silvernale from the Space Mob tells us that "in the future all park boards will be shaped like this".
- The feedback from everyone who rides it has been overwhelmingly positive—almost the same as when we introduced flex to wakeboarding.
- It's a BIG deal—all 165 cm of it.
Atomic Wood Core
Vertically laminated wood core construction is what gives Slingshot boards their signature flex performance. It's lightweight and durable, delivering superior pop, rebound, and that overall magical feeling in the park.
Single-Shot Fusion Sidewalls
Our innovative manufacturing process produces unrivaled dampening and durability by infusing the rail into the core of the board with a single shot, eliminating the need for fasteners or staples.
Carbon Bedrock Inserts
Light, flexible, and super strong, our Carbon Bedrock Inserts reduce overall board weight, increase pull strength and allow for a more consistent flex underfoot.
With .7mm's of bulletproof protection between your board and the surfaces you're sliding across, this base layer is ready for battle. Put to the test daily by some of the most daring park riders in the game.
Continuous Rocker Profile
This continuous curve equates to faster board speed on the water, allowing you to ride for longer periods of time with less arm fatigue and delivering an exciting, fast, and fun feel.
The toe and heel edges of the board are raised up approximately 4-5 mm, creating a small buffer zone between the edges of your board and uneven rail surfaces to help protect your edges.
Wide Tip/Tail Profile
The wide profile makes it easier to stay locked onto rails all the way to the finish, and also provides more surface area to keep you on top of the water with less speed/effort.
Extreme Stance Inserts
For those who choose to get even more radical, the vast spread of inserts allows for centered, directional, and downright RIDICULOUS stance options for riders who know no bounds.
