Most kids’ boards are built as cheaply as possible, with little consideration for progression or skill level. The Space Grom sits at the top of the kids’ board category, featuring the same premium ingredients found in our pro series, just scaled down to kid-friendly sizes. The Ballistic Base protects the board through thousands of laps, the Atomic Wood Core delivers unmatched flex performance and liveliness underfoot, and the Single-Shot Sidewalls shield the edges from the inevitable bonks, taps, slaps, dings, and “whoops” that come with being a kid.

The Space Grom is one of the softer feeling wakeboards in our lineup making it easy to press, great for butters, and ultimately giving you the most board feel under your feet.

Unlike other grom boards, the Space Grom is built with the same technology as our advanced shredding machines. No shortcuts, no compromises. Designed to be ridden like the big kids, the Space Grom delivers real performance for young riders who are ready to charge, progress, and throw down from day one.

FAQ

What board size is the right size for me?

If this is your first wakeboard as a Space Grom the 125 will be perfect for you (ages 2-5). The 130 is good for ages 6-9 and the 135 will fit age 9-13. After that it will be time to graduate to another board is our lineup.

Whats the difference between having chined rails versus a flat bottom?

Chined rails make the board more forgiving for grinding rails and doing butters, but they make it harder to lock into a hard edge. A flat bottom provides better edge hold, optimizing speed, air tricks, and kickers, while chined rails optimize jibbing and butters and help prevent catching an edge during flat-ground tricks.

Benefits of having more or less flex?

A board with more flex offers better feel on park features and allows for easier nose and tail presses. A stiffer board is typically better for higher-energy riders hitting larger kickers and doing air tricks.
