Yard Sale 7 without a doubt is the most creative contest in wakeboarding. It returned in the first week of October 2025 with a familiar format. Best trick, best line, and best grab were all up for new crowned champions. Talent pulled up from all over the world all gunning for the top spot.
The first day we had practice, which flew by. The sessions mimicked the jam format style of the main event. These sessions used the same number of riders, length of time, as well as allowed groups to discuss how to pass the handle.
Valdosta Wake Compound, along with the other sponsors of the event; knocked it out of the park and made sure riders were dialed and taken care of across the board. They really brought the hype and stepped it up again this year with the addition of several new types of rail. Riders also had the ability to tent camp or park an RV and onsite meals were provided for the invited and qualified riders.
Back on the course, we saw the kind of rails most of us only dream about hitting. Chain rails, tree jibs, stumps, and lots of big pipes. Intimidating course but man, it really was a dream.
Slingshot showed up and showed out with the creativity. Picking lines most riders couldn’t even think of.
It seemed big tech was the favorite of the weekend with Dary Znebel doing what he does best and mindf***** everyone. His front board up over pipes with a triple close out was wild. Dary Zenebele, well done. (@znebel)
Crosse Bearden and Chase Williams also showed up and put down solid runs in the "Best Line" finals. Other notable team riders and tricks were
- Jonn Bonet: transfer boardslide rail to rail front board
- Maxx Evan: Pole jammer cab 3 off the chain
- Crosse: Back 270 pretz 2 on the stumps
- Wes: Wizardry on the logs,
- Drielling: Mega Rail to Rail,
Not to mention all the girls showing out! Let's go Katinka, Annie, and Sina!!!!
