INTO THE WILD: Canadian Wakeboarding With the ZUUPACK

Man this one was fun to edit. We packed in 12 of our closest buds into @andyokegb RV for the Summer of Sling x Canada 2.0 tour. Hitting 4 incredible 2.0s and maybe a million beers in-between.

We set out less than 24 hours after Rail Garden Rampage ended and hightailed it over to Bluestone Wakepark. We split up into two cars as our group was large and bobby had forgotten his passport 🤦🏻 After a quick stop in Jackson we were on our way, and we made it across the border without a hitch.

We arrived at Bluestone with plenty of time for an evening sesh. It’s always a great time getting to sesh the Road Gap! It feels straight out of a tony hawk pro skater map. There’s no half send when you square up against that massive gap.

We spent less than 24 hours at Andy's house on the property at Bluestone before we took off again, but we’d be back. We drove the 4 hours to rail yard and got straight to it. The vibes were high and the nervous chatter loud. The Railyard was real deal and Everybody hopped out and got a handle. The course was so sick, bi-level with three outrail options - a pool with turf grass and some outrails, a spine kicker, a box transfer and an exciting swoop rail to rail homemade feature. With so much variety everyone enjoyed getting out of their comfort zone. Gotta see what the crew came up with out here, make sure you watch the video below.

We camped out and cooked out, twistin teas and tellin stories by the fire until the grass started to dew and the first rays of the sun started to poke. The tour was finding its rhythm, the energy was electric.

We spent some time with the local crew, getting everyone to try a Slingshot board. After shredding all day the next day and then spending one more night we high tailed it to What Wake Park which was about an hour and a half drive from Railyard. What Wake Park was so sick, it felt like I was back at summer camp as a kid. The vibes were high and we took turns on the cable.

After the session we fired the sauna up, going hot to cold, using the lake as a cold plunge after dark.

We got to ride and hang out with some local legends like Mickey Henry and Dary Znebel even showed up for a set! more teas twisted and a solid film set later we ended up with a closing session with everybody gettin a few clips!

What Wake Park was epic because the legendary bush’s watersports is run out of the main lodge. we showed up and showed out and Adam got sling a new account that he didn’t think was possible before. But proves the point that these trips open doors!
When andy was ready and we had had our fill, we piled back in the RV and headed for Planet Bayou!!

Cheers to the Goveneer! Games were played en route with some funny rules like tipping a hat to the tiny man or having to wear sunglasses

Then came Planet Bayou. What a good change of pace. this was the first 2,0 i’ve hit in a long time that felt actually DIY. the boys and i had ideas left and right. setting up corex and barrels and metal rails to transform the park into our personal playground. almost every hit from the edit is a unique approach to the park. Everyone got worked on this stop of the trip, Taking more slams then the other stops combined.

After a couple days we got back in the RV and made the push back to Andy’s. Man it felt good to be back home. Thank you to Slingshot for making an opportunity like this happen! It’s incredible being able to travel and share our take on wake with the world.
