Welcome to the fastest growing watersport in the world: wing foiling. Starting a new sport can be confusing with all the unfamiliar equipment and technology—but not here, not with us. At Slingshot, we were beginners once, too, and we’ve designed and built the ideal lineup of beginner wing foil products that’ll accelerate your learning curve and have you up winging, on foil, like a seasoned pro in no time at all.
Beginners and advanced riders alike will benefit from the increased control provided by the Javelin's stiff, locked-in boom and ultra-compact wingspan. Whether you are cruising one-handed with style, riding backwinded or trying to keep the wingtips out of the water, the advantage of a boom is clear. The Javelin is also the first-ever wing with on-the-fly power tuning thanks to its Canopy Tensioning Strap that regulates the power by flattening or expanding the wing's profile. The two-piece Javelin boom** fits wing sizes from 2.5m to 7.5m and breaks down for travel with two simple push pins. (**Javelin boom sold separately.)
The LTF of "Learn To Fly" is the first inflatable foil board with both foil tracks and keel fin slot allowing you to progress from your first day of finned winging to full foiling. Beginners will enjoy the wide yet compact shape using twin fins in the back and the keel fin in the middle of the board to learn how to wing while staying upwind. Then, get your first flights by removing the fins and attaching your foil to the stiff carbon bottom plate that delivers hard board like foil control. The 3/4 length corduroy EVA deckpad is soft on the knees and the top deck carry handle make walking with board and wing a breeze. If you want one board to take anywhere, teach anybody, at any level, you will love the LTF. It even works great for learning to foil behind a boat.
The FWING V2 package is designed to help you progress quickly. Equipped with the massive Infinity 99 wing, boasting 2,371 square centimeters of surface area, it has the lowest takeoff and stall speed in the Slingshot range. The 99cm wingspan provides unmatched rail-to-rail stability and makes getting up on foil easier than ever. Combined with the 42cm rear stabilizer the ability to pump and glide with this combo is otherworldly.
The Manticore V1 was designed to help wingers progress and teach their friends with its durable compression molded construction. It features mellow chined rails and a flat bottom rocker for quick release onto foil and enough width to be stable even in choppy water. Its 3/4 length corduroy deck pad is soft on the knees and feet and the inset bottom carry handle makes launching and landing simple. The extended foil tracks make this board compatible with any foil on the market. Equipped with both Tri-footstrap and offset front strap options allow you to progress to using footstraps and taking greater control of your foil board.
